Research by the Commission for Archaeology of Non-European Cultures in Honduras led to a strengthening of the scientific relations between the Honduran heritage protection authority and the German Archaeological Institute. As part of the project, researchers from various disciplines have collaborated in exemplary fashion with the support of the authority. In this way the close ties between Germany and Honduras have been further strengthened by scientific work.
