“800 Jahre Karakorum – 20 Jahre archäologische Ausgrabungen der Mongolisch-Deutschen Karakorum-Expedition“
Das Fundmaterial aus den Öfen im südwestlichen Bereich der Großen Halle weist darauf hin, dass hier Mauersteine, Dachziegel und Bauschmuck für den Bau des Tempels hergestellt wurden. Im Gegensatz dazu diente der kleinere Ofen nordwestlich der Großen Halle wohl der Produktion von Keramikgefäßen.
Im Brennofenbezirk neben der “Großen Halle” fanden sich auch andere Gegenstände aus jener Zeit, wie dieses bearbeitete Knochenfragment.

Eine Münze mit chinesischer Prägung 
Auch in diesem Areal fand man eine Münze mit chinesischer Prägung. 
In den Öfen fanden sich Überreste von Stützen und Abstandhaltern für das Brenngut
Auch in den 14 Öfen am Westufer des Orchon wurden Mauer- und Dachziegel sowie Keramikfiguren hergestellt. Es konnte festgestellt werden, dass einzelne Stücke, die im Bereich der Großen Halle und im nördlichen Stadtareal gefunden wurden, wohl aus diesen Öfen stammen. Auch viele weitere Stücke sind vergleichbar mit dem Fundmaterial aus dem Stadtbereich. So fanden sich an beiden Orten Überreste von Kinnari-Figuren sowie Model zur Herstellung. Auch Traufziegel mit gleichem Dekor und Glasur waren nachweisbar. In diesem Handwerkerbereich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Flusses wurde demnach über längere Zeit wahrscheinlich Baumaterial unterschiedlichster Art für die Errichtung neuer Gebäude in der Stadt oder für die Durchführung von Reparaturarbeiten hergestellt.

In beiden Werkstattarealen beschäftigten sich die Arbeiter in ihrer Freizeit mit Spielen, wie diese Spielsteine vermuten lassen.

The find material from the kilns in the south-western area of the Great Hall indicates that wall stones, roof tiles and architectural decoration for the construction of the temple were produced here. In contrast, the smaller kiln northwest of the Great Hall probably served the production of ceramic vessels.
In the kiln district next to the „Great Hall“ other objects from that time were found, such as this worked bone fragment Eaves tile depicting a mask.

A coin minted in Chinese 
In this area also a coin with Chinese minting was found. 
Remains of supports and spacers for the firing material were found in the kilns.
The 14 kilns on the west bank of the Orchon also produced wall and roof tiles and ceramic figures. It could be established that individual pieces found in the area of the Great Hall and in the northern part of the city probably came from these kilns. Many other pieces are also comparable with the find material from the city area. For example, remains of Kinnari figures as well as models for their production were found at both places. Eaves tiles with the same decoration and glaze were also found. In this craftsmen area in the immediate vicinity of the river, building material of various kinds was probably produced over a long period of time for the construction of new buildings in the city or for carrying out repair work.

In both workshop areas the workers were engaged in playing games in their free time, as these tokens suggest.
